Encouraging entrepreneurship is a key to improving competitiveness, boosting exports and fostering economic growth and training plays a vital role in any such endeavor. Through this Entrepreneurship Development Program, participants will learn to improve their financial planning skills, assess key success factors attributed to developing sustainable businesses, make a better marketing plan, and create effective strategic plans. Entrepreneurship drives new ideas, novel approaches, and innovative technologies to reach the marketplace.

The workshop would not only highlight the constraints faced by women entrepreneurs but through case studies and crafting an effective business plan will actually provide solutions to the women entrepreneurs. In addition, exercise sessions will also be conducted in groups, so that participants can work on a given situation and came up with solutions. It is also hoped that the organization of this workshop would be a significant step forward in enabling the women entrepreneurs to upgrade their skills.

In addition, it has also been observed that networks are major sources of knowledge and are increasingly recognized as a valuable tool for the development and promotion of common objectives of any given group. By network we refer here to exchange of valuable information in order to become a more competent entrepreneur. In this context efforts may be taken to foster the networking of associations and encourage cooperation and partnerships among national and international networks to facilitate entrepreneurial endeavors by women in the economy. The workshop would examine this aspect and analyze the various approaches adopted by different countries to establish an effective networking system.

The other objective of this workshop is to promote entrepreneurship development in their respective countries, which will eventually lead to greater economic prosperity. The objective of the workshop includes:

i. To promote women entrepreneurial culture in OIC countries by enhancing their managerial competence.

ii. Help them for better and efficient utilization of their resources and guide them, how to make a cost effective Business Plan.

iii. Understanding how entrepreneur should use latest marketing, financial information technology and production techniques for success.

iv. To give due consideration to the state of affairs of working women and to intensify training to guide it towards SMEs.

v. Guide the women entrepreneurs of obtaining Micro financing, trade financing and project financing facilities available within the OIC countries.
